A goodnight's sleep in a loghouse
Leena's B&B offers accommodation in the middle of nature in idyllic rural surroundings, with wide cornfields in front of the house and an evergreen forest behind it.
In the area you can see wild animals from a bear to a hare and a wide range of migrating birds especially in spring and autumn. The quietness and peace is only interrupted by horses clattering on the village way and birds singing.
The house is built of thick Lapland pinewood according to the rules of Feng Shui and it is furnished with Finnish design and art handycraft. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful. The house accommodates 1-8 guests. There are new, comfortable beds in all rooms with a shared bathroom and shower. There is a cozy living-room and a beautiful glazed-in terrace with a magnificent view over the near-by cornfields.
The breakfast is served on the terrace in summer and in the dining area in winter.
The summer rooms in the cottages
There is an ecological Biolan toilet and an outdoor shower for the guests at the cottages.1. A room for two, shared Biolan toilet (next to the cottage) and outdoor shower (at 10metres' distance). There is a refridgerator, microwave, poacher, electric kettle,coffeemaker, a table for two. In front of the cottage there is a gas barbeque, table andchairs.
2. A single room, shared Biolan toilet (next to the cottage) and an outdoor sauna shower (at10 metres' distance). The gas barbeque, table and chairs right next to the cottage.
3. A single room with a shared Biolan toilet at the distance of 10 metres and the outdoorshower right next to the room. This room is in the sauna building. The summer barbequekitchen and pavilion sitting area are close to the sauna building.
The rooms in the house
1. A downstairs room for two with a shared shower and toilet, a view over the yard.
2. A big upstairs room for two with a shared shower and toilet downstairs, extra bed for 1-2. A steep staircase leads to the room, with thick velvet drawers at the top of the stairs to prevent sounds and give privacy. A beautiful view over the cornfields.
3. A single room with shared shower and toilet. The lovely room has a queensize bed and a view to the yard, entrance through the shower room.
There is more accommodation capacity in summer
In summer there is space for 1-12 guest as there is a small cottage available for two people and two small single rooms. The guests in the summer rooms make their own breakfast but it is also possible to have the breakfast in the main building at an extra fee. All guests in the summer rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, poacher and tableware. The dishes will be washed up by Leena in the dishwasher. In the yard there is a summer kitchen, a table for six and a gas barbeque with necessary accessories.
Free parking and Wifi available. Optical fibre connection will be available in 2024.
Sauna
There is an excellent summer sauna with a smoke sauna stove and a woodburning stove. The smoke sauna won the certificate of the best smoke sauna in Finland in 2007. The sauna can be booked for an extra fee. The is a shower next to the sauna building which is also used by the guests at the cottages.
The ecological Biolan outhouse toilet is next to the cottages and is shared by the guests at the cottages.
Sustainability
Leena's B&B avoids wasting food, the waste is always sorted out and energy is saved by avoiding the excess use of hot water and electricity. The house is heated by geothermal heating and there will be solar panels on the roof, the purchased energy is hydroelectricity. The next car will run on electricity.
The guests appreciate the cleanliness of the place.
Leena keeps the house clean and shipshape. The house is beautifully located by a pineforest and it looks over an idyllic rural scenery. The air is fresh both inside the house and out of the house

Activities
There are several activities both cultural and outdoor in western Uusimaa and Inkoo. You can walk around and backpack on the seashore in Kopparnäs hiking routes, admire the archipelago views, wander along paths and use campfire sites free of charge. You can golf at Pickala golf centre (https://pickalagolf.fi/) take a canoe trip at Siuntio Paddlingcentre (https://wwwseaction.com/fi/) cycle, wander village ways and paths.

Driving instructions
Leena's B&B is on a breathtaking spot in Degerby. Espoo is at the distance of 39 kilometres, downtown Helsinki at 45 kilometres, Lohja at 20 kilometres, the nearest airport Helsinki-Vantaa at 59 kilometres.
There is a signpost to Leena's B&B on the main road 51 (the house is at 1.2 kilometres from the main road).
Bus timetables Inkoo-Degerby at www.matkahuolto.fi If you come by train from Helsinki or from Helsinki-Vantaa airport (change at Huopalahti), you take the train to Kirkonummi, then by taxi to Leena's (It takes about 60 minutes from Helsinki to Leen's)

A warm welcome, cozy, excellent breakfast, very clean.
A nice and beautiful place, peaceful atmosphere, first class, close to Upinniemi. Like a summer place, close to Kopparnäs, in the peace of nature, close to hiking trails.
Accommodation was tidy, the place was peaceful. An excellent packed breakfast was given to a night worker. Sometimes noise and sounds from outside of the room can be heard but it didn't disturb me. Clean, a comfortable bed, chatty hostess. Excellent Feng Shui in the house (Jukka)
